about

Soft Rock gets a bad rap. Usually attributed to acts like Air Supply, Toto and Bread, one can see where the seeds of such a reputation were sown, but this is mid 2016, and Maps of Tasmania are here to set the record straight. Gone are the mounds of cocaine, the hairspray, the yacht envy –everything is stripped to the bone, like punk rock…just played softly. Featuring members of not-so soft rock bands (Legends of Motorsport and Warpigs) Maps of Tasmania bring some long overdue respectability to a much maligned genre. Saviours of Soft Rock? You decide.
